Hi! I’m Ellen

I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in Carlisle, PA, and I've wandered through cities across the US, including Providence, RI and Austin, TX.  Now Baltimore City is home.  

My pronouns are she/her. I'm a cis, white, bi, able-bodied, middle-class woman.

I’m a Taurus Sun, Scorpio moon and rising.

When I was little I used to say, “I want to know everything about everything.” I always have a million ideas and new interests I’m learning about. My YouTube subscriptions list includes a lot of DIYers, potters, and artists, AND feminist and Black radical thinkers, science communicators, chefs/dieticians/food creators, PBS, NPR Music, and comedians.

I am learning to play Magic: The Gathering, which is a really fun combination of strategy, skill, luck, and encyclopedic knowledge of small pieces of paper.

My spirituality is pagan, witchy and ritual-based. I go to a Unitarian Universalist church for welcoming, intergenerational community. I am an ex-vangelical. I’ve studied Buddhism. I’ve spent a lot of time with Jewish folks. I am fascinated by deeply fundamentalist religious communities.

I love spending time with my friends, my partner, and my cat, Squirtle.
